FAQs

In the interest of full transparency here’s a bit more information.

opening hours

What are your opening hours?

8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Closed on public holidays.

For after hours care, please contact the Radiodoctor Illawarra on 4228 5522 for a bulk billed home visit or telephone consultation or attend the Urgent Primary Care Centre at Bulli Hospital (phone 4249 1300).

I just need a quick doctor’s appointment, can you fit me in?

A small number of ‘on the day appoints’ have been set aside. Please ring reception on 4202 6900 if you need an urgent appointment but cannot find one online. Sick children or pregnant women are prioritised for ‘on the day appointments’.

What are the best parking options?

There are public car parks located on Railway Pde, or on Station St over the railway bridge, or the large public car park on Church St.

covid-19

I’m feeling COVID-19 symptoms, what do I do?

Please do a COVID 19 RAT test test and stay at home until you receive a negative result. Please arrange a telephone or video consultation if possible. If you are more unwell and concerned, you can attend for a face to face consultation but please talk to reception staff so we can plan your visit and minimise the risk to others. Please wear a face mask and wait outside the clinic and call reception staff upon arrival.

appointments

What if I can no longer make it to my appointment?

Situations may arise leading to missed appointments, please inform us of any changes prior to the commencement of the appointment.

Repeated missed appointments will incur a ‘no-show’ fee of $40. Exceptions may apply.

Further appointments will temporarily be unavailable until this fee is paid in full. This includes any appointments already booked. Payment can be done over the phone or via the HotDoc payment request.

Do I still need to wear a mask?

As of February 2024 our patients do not need to wear a face mask unless you are feeling any cold, flu or respiratory symptoms. Please note we require masks in these cases to protect the Doctors, Reception staff, their families and other patient’s attending the clinic, some of whom may be immunocompromised.

If any of these are the case, please call the clinic ahead of time to check whether we require a negative RAT test to attend the clinic.

Patients over 65 yrs or those who are immunocompromised are still recommended to wear a mask at their own discretion.
