Dr Jennifer Bowler

Practice Principal

Jennifer went to Queensland University to study medicine and received the University Medal.

She did her hospital residency at the Mater in Brisbane, including a year as a Medical Registrar and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Jennifer has been a partner at Foster Medical Centre in South Gippsland, worked in Noosa, Mosman, North Sydney and most recently was the Practice Principal at Campus Clinic at the University of Wollongong. She has a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from the University of Wales, Diploma in Rural Medicine, and certificate qualifications in Family Planning and Skin Cancer (UQ).

She is also a proud mum of 4 kids and a cavoodle and resident of 2515.

Dr Brendan Leslie

General Practitioner

FRACGP EMcert (ACEM) MBBS BSc (Chem)(Adv)(Dist)

Dr Leslie grew up and studied in the Illawarra. He completed his medical degree in 2010, after graduating with distinction in Chemistry and earlier studying Environmental Science.

As well as working as a GP within the University, Dr Leslie and his family have worked on Elcho Island in remote east Arnhem Land. These experiences have left him with a particular interest in Indigenous and adolescent (young people’s) health; but he enjoys all aspects of general practice.

When not at work, Dr Leslie enjoys surfing, spending time with his family and learning more about science and the environment. He rarely misses an episode of Science with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki or the Radio National Health Report.

Dr Leslie strives to provide gold standard, evidence-based conventional medicine. It can be surprising to learn that this often means placing more emphasis on the importance of lifestyle while using less, or no medication for many common conditions. An example is antibiotics; in order to slow resistance and avoid their negative effects we must cut their unnecessary use.

Importantly, Dr Leslie sees confidentiality and objectivity as being crucial in providing the best possible care. For these reasons, he does not see people he knows personally as patients.

Dr Leslie is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, (most) Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
